Shivrajpur beach is one of the best places to visit near Dwarka. Last year I visited Shivrajpur beach for Scuba diving! Yes, this place is also famous for Scuba diving spot in Gujarat. Sadly, the water clarity was very bad and hence, I had a average experience. Rest, the beach is very beautiful where you can enjoy various water sports activities.

Shivrajpur Beach is located on the Dwarka–Okha Highway in Devbhumi Dwarka district, Gujarat. The beach sits about 14 to 15 km from the ancient pilgrimage city of Dwarka. It is one of the most popular beaches in Gujarat and draws visitors from across the country.
What makes Shivrajpur Beach different from most beaches in India is its Blue Flag certification. In October 2020, the Foundation for Environment Education – a Denmark-based international body – awarded Shivrajpur the Blue Flag status. This made it Gujarat's first Blue Flag certified beach. The Blue Flag label means the beach meets strict standards for water quality, cleanliness, safety, and environmental care.
The beach is known for its clear water, fine sand, and a good range of water sports. Visitors can enjoy scuba diving, snorkelling, jet ski rides, banana boat rides, and camel rides here. If you are also planning to visit the famous Dwarkadhish Temple nearby, Shivrajpur Beach makes for a perfect half-day trip before or after your temple visit.
Shivrajpur Beach is a no-plastic zone. Visitors are requested to segregate waste into dry and wet categories before disposing of it. This keeps the beach clean and helps maintain its Blue Flag status.

Shivrajpur Beach takes its name from the small coastal village of Shivrajpur in Devbhumi Dwarka district. The village is situated along the Arabian Sea coast, and the beach stretches along this shoreline on the way from Dwarka to Okha.
The beach gained national attention when it received its Blue Flag certification in October 2020. The Blue Flag programme is run by the Foundation for Environment Education, headquartered in Denmark. It is one of the most recognised eco-labels for beaches and marinas in the world. A beach earns the Blue Flag label only after meeting 33 strict criteria covering water quality, environmental education, safety services, and waste management.
At the time of certification, Shivrajpur became one of only a handful of Indian beaches to hold this status, and the first in Gujarat. This recognition brought more organised tourism facilities to the beach, including designated zones, lifeguards, water sports operators, and waste disposal points.

The best time to visit Shivrajpur Beach is from October to April. During these months the weather in Devbhumi Dwarka is pleasant, with temperatures between 15 and 28 degrees Celsius. The sea is also calmer in winter, which makes water sports safe and more enjoyable. The water looks its best in December and January – the light hits the surface in a way that makes it look very clear and blue.
March and April are also good months to visit, though it starts getting warmer towards the end of April. Morning visits during these months are more comfortable than afternoon ones.
The monsoon season, from June to September, is best avoided. The Arabian Sea gets rough during this period and water sports are suspended. The beach also receives heavy rain, which makes outdoor activities difficult. May and June bring strong heat and are not ideal for a comfortable beach visit.

|---|---|---|
| Best Time | October to February | Cool weather, calm sea, ideal for water sports |
