The nearest railway station to Nubra Valley is Jammu Tawi Railway Station. The railway station is 370 kilometers away. From the railway station, you can hire a private cab or bus takes you to the valley.
Traveling to Nubra Valley by road is the most convenient and scenic option. To get to Leh, take the National Highway and then the Khardung La pass road. The valley is well-connected to popular Indian tourist destinations such as Leh, Manali, and Delhi.

2. Maitreya Buddha
The depiction of the future incarnation of Buddha, the founder of Buddhist belief, holds special significance in the Nubra Valley. One of the most impressive sights in the valley is the 32-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha, which stands atop a hill within the grounds of Diskit Monastery.
