Shanti stupa is a well-known tourist attraction in Leh located on a hilltop at just 5km from Leh city in Chanspa of Ladakh. It is famous for its white-domed Buddhist stupa that can be viewed from entire Leh city and gives panoramic view of the city from the top of this place.
Shanti stupa was built by Gyomyo Nakamura; a Japanese Buddhist monk during as a part of his peace pagoda mission in 1991.
The Shanti Stupa Pokhara, also known as the World Peace Pagoda Pokhara, is located atop Ananda Hill. It was built with the assistance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myhji, by Nipponzan-Myhji monk Morioka Sonin and local supporters. It is an excellent location for viewing the Himalayan range, Phewa Lake, and Pokhara city. Many people visit for the spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset. The Stupa is located 7 kilometres from Pokhara.

There are no railways in Pokhara.
The best way to get to Pokhra is by bus. Buses to Shanti Stupa Pokhara are available from Kathmandu and Sunauli, which is close to the Indian border. There are several operators running on the Kathmandu to Pokhara route, so there are several options. Local buses run every 30 minutes from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Trekking is an excellent activity that you can thoroughly enjoy. The roads are surrounded by beautiful places where you can take photographs and enjoy nature.

The nearby market is surrounded by numerous decorative items that you can only find in this local market and not anywhere else. If you have time, go to the market and spend some time there.
