Dhordo is one of the best tourism villages in Gujarat and is famous for the white desert and Rann Utsav. You can explore this place during any time of year, but the best and most recommended time is during the Kutchh Rann Utsav, happening every year during the winter season.

Bhuj is the cultural heart of Gujarat. its rich history, folk music, and colorful art forms. The music here is inspired by Sufi and folk songs, played on ancient instruments like Bhorrindo, Manjira, Morchay, Jodia Pava, and Rava. People mostly speak the Kutchi language.

Kutch is world-famous for its embroidery and handicrafts. Also wall paintings, jewelry, and wooden carvings. Different communities from Rajasthan, Sindh, and Afghanistan have settled here over centuries, giving Kutch its unique cultural mixture.

The best time to visit Dhordo is during Rann Utsav, which usually happens from November to February (sometimes extended till March). Full Moon Nights are the most magical time, when the white desert glows beautifully under moonlight. Winter is enjoyable with cool temperatures, perfect for sightseeing and cultural activities.

Entry Fee:

  1. There are no direct entry fees to Dhordo Village itself, but you are required to obtain a permit and pay a fee for the White Rann of Kutch, which includes entry to the Dhordo area.

Timings:

  1. Dhordo village is open 24 hours.
  2. White Desert entry timings: 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
  3. Tent City and Rann Utsav events usually run from morning till late night during the festival season.
