Places I explored :

Day 1 - Gangtok:-

We were received by our travel agent on arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and helped us to board the vehicle to Gangtok.

We drove to Gangtok along the NH 31A. The landscape changed dramatically as we left Siliguri and run through the dense forests of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary, the natural playground of wild elephants, tigers and deer. Then we reached Sevok just at the base of the hills and experienced the gorgeous view of the Tista river as it comes out from the deep gorge of the Himalayas and spreads itself in the vast plains on North Bengal. After that, the journey followed the winding roads along the meandering emerald green River Tista. We spent some time on a few scenic spots on the way to enjoy the landscape. Gangtok the capital town of Sikkim the earlier Himalayan Kingdom welcomed us with its typical traditional Hospitality.

We assist you in check-in at the hotel. Get refreshed and have a free leisure evening. We recommend a relaxed evening and a short walk around The Mall to enjoy the typical Hill City life of Gangtok in the twilights.

Overnight stayed at Gangtok

Day 2 - Lachen:-

Early morning after breakfast we started the drive (135 kilometres, 5/6 hours) through a scenic route to Lachen, North Sikkim. Enroute we visited

Tashi View Point - Built by Tashi Namgyal, offering a panoramic view of Mt. Khangchendzonga.

Kabi Longstok - A historic place, located on North Sikkim Highway. This is where a treaty between Lepcha Chief Te-Kung-Tek and the Bhutia Chief Key-Bum-Sar was signed.

Seven Sister Waterfalls - The name is given to this waterfall as it makes its descent in seven stages. To facilitate the tourists to savour the pristine beauty and to be with nature, the Tourism Department of Sikkim has set up a waiting shed and cafeteria here.

Naga Waterfalls - The confluence of Lachen-Chu and Lachung-Chu at Chungthang. Mostly perennial in nature, waterfalls are aplenty in this region, Bhim Nala & the Twin Waterfalls are two others one comes across en route North Sikkim Tour and the gorgeous Teesta follows you all the way.

We reached Lachen late afternoon.

The snow-capped peaks, the Shingba Wildlife Sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, Thangu are the major attractions of Lachen. It 's a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow-peaked mountains and the starting point of Green Lake Trek. In fact, the village is cradled between stern, tall rock faces standing like guards. a hamlet with very few people.

Evening we visited the Lepcha Village.

Overnight stayed at Hotel in Lachen.

Day 3 - Lachung:-

Early morning after breakfast we drove through the high altitude valleys over 12,000 feet (Cold Desert) till Tibet / China to visit the Gurudongmar Lake. These valleys are generally covered with snow from December to April. Gurudongmar Lake, even more, is known as the Holy / Sacred Lake. We Spent 1/2 Hrs there.

After this, we drove back to Thangu Village (13000 feet). From the month of October to March, the land is shrouded with a white blanket of snow. Thangu Valley begins turning into a canvas of numerous shades from the month of May with the start of the blooming season. Thangu is acclaimed for the natural beauty of its alpine vegetation. The region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest.

We also visited Chopta Valley and Kalapathar

Chopta Valley- Journey to Chopta Valley from Lachen is itself a thrilling one. The green vegetation of lower altitude will soon give way to Alpine terrain with canonical trees. As you go further up, the trees give way to small bushes and beyond Thangu the vegetation is relatively less as you get into the Tibetan plateau. The Chopta Valley is the last green vegetation on this route. The place has got a majestic view of the snowy peaks, mountain slopes covered with pine and rhododendron forests, grazing fields around the river meandering throughout the valley, making it an ideal place for trekkers and explorers. It is the safe haven for many rare species of birds and animals, which allures many birders and wildlife lovers to visit this place. Its river is well stocked for the anglers and well-flowing for the water sports adventurist

Kala Patthar- Drive further from Chopta Valley to reach Kala Patthar. The only colours that prevail at Kalapatthar, Sikkim were black and white. The whole area remains covered with snow throughout the year and amidst these snowfields, the black mountains/rocks break the monotony of Snow white colour. The temperature of the place used to lie below zero and snow exists throughout the year. This is not as high as Gurudongmar lake. So less chance of breathing problems and high altitude sickness. Children can enjoy in the snow here ie. making snow idol, frolicking with snow etc

Post this Trip, we returned to Lachen for the transfer to Lachung. On the way, we passed by Bhim Nala Waterfall and the Holy Rock at Chungthang. We arrived at Lachung and check in to the Lachung hotel.

Overnight Stayed at Lachung.

Day 4 - Gangtok:-

Early morning after breakfast we drove towards Yumthang Valley situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet. We visited the famous Hot Spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases. Also, visited Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary.

Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In the months of April-June, the valley erupts in riots of colours as Primula, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow-covered valley except in autumn - During winter Yumthang is sombre with snow all around and the snow-clad mountains adding to the beauty. The sight of the snow-covered mountain ranges and rivers will remind you of the valleys of Switzerland.

Next, we visited Zero Point.

Zero Point- A perfect destination for high altitude excursions. Yumesamdong or Zero point Sikkim stands at an altitude of 15,300 feet above sea level and offers beautiful sightseeing opportunities. It is the last outpost of civilization and there is no road ahead. Owing to a higher altitude, oxygen levels there are pretty low.

The beautiful confluence of three rivers, surrounding snow-clad mountains and marvellous scenic views makes Zero Point Sikkim one of the best places to visit in India. It is one of Sikkim 's prime tourist attractions. The sight of the yaks grazing in the snow is a pleasant one. You will be completely smitten by the surrounding natural beauty.

All those people who love winters and fantasize about spending time in the snow, Zero Point is the place for you! It remains covered with snow for the most part of the year.

Later we checked out from Lachung hotel and drove back to Gangtok (Alt 5550Ft / 1675M) via Chungthang.

We checked in the hotel of Gangtok by late afternoon.

Overnight stayed at Gangtok.
