Pancha Rathas is located in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. The name “Pancha Rathas” refers to the five Pandava brothers from the Mahabharata and their wife, Draupadi. Draupadi’s Ratha, Arjuna’s Ratha, Nakula-Sahadeva’s Ratha, Bhima’s Ratha, and Dharmaraja Yudhishthira’s Ratha are the five Pancha Rathas.

The Pallava (Narasimhavarman I) built these granite temples in the 7th century AD. Each temple has a different structure, unique designs, and beautiful stone artwork, like animals, gods, and historical artwork. The largest is the Bhima Ratha. These Pancha Rathas are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Mahabalipuram.
