Recently I visited this place in the month of April 2025 with my friends. The place has developed a lot and now there are couple of options to seat near to temple. If you are looking for a place to enjoy the sunset in Dwarka, this is the place. Located near Lighthouse, this place can be easily accessible by hired auto or even walking distance from the gomti ghat. Just visit and thank me later.

Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple is a famous and peaceful temple in Dwarka, Gujarat which is located at just 2KM from Dwarkadhish Jagat Mandir and 400Meters from famous sunset point of Dwarka. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is built on a small hill-like rock in the Arabian Sea. The main Shivling inside the temple is believed to be self-created (Swayambhu) and according to locals, the Shivling is around 5,000 years old. You will be surprised to know that during monsoon (June-July), sea waves come and wash the Shivling inside the temple during the high tide, which people believe is a natural ‘Abhishek’ by the sea.
The Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple is open every day from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM but make sure to check the tide and waves of the ocean. It may affect the timing of this temple. You will also see the long queue during festival like Shivratri.
Best time to visit Bhadkeshwar Mahadev temple is during sunset, and when the tide is low so you can safely walk to the temple and enjoy the sunset.
There is no entry fees to visit this temple. Anyone can visit this place without paying any fees.
If you are in Dwarka at Jagat mandir, the temple is located at around 2KM. You can take a Dwarka beach route towards Gita Mandir or Dwarka sunset point. You can easily hired shared auto which may take around 5 minutes from Dwarkadhish temple.
Best route is to go by walk from Dwarka beach, you will enjoy serene beach side and other temples en-route.
