Murud Janjira Fort is situated on the Island of Murud village and is also known as Janjira Killa. It is one of the strongest marine forts in India. History:

Murud Janjira Fort was established in early 1100 and built by Abyssinian Sidis. Over the years, the Mujud Janijira fort was attacked by the Marathas, Portuguese, and Britishers. Instead of so many attacks throughout time, it remains unconquered and remains successful in establishing the Janjira sultanate.

Entry fees: There are no charges on an entry into the fort.
Fort Timings: 7 A.M. to 6 P.M.
Boat/Ferry Timings: 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. and from 2 P.M. to 4.45 P.M.
Boat/Ferry Rate: You need to buy tickets for a boat ride. Charges for the boat ride remain between INR 50 to INR 300, depending on the size of the boat.
Parking Facility: Vehicle parking charges are INR 30.
