How to reach Golden Temple, Amritsar

By Air  

Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, 10 km away from The golden temple, is very much connected with the rest parts of nation and the world by various network of flights.

By Train 

Amritsar railway station is very much connected to every one of the significant urban communities in Punjab alongside other Indian urban communities and towns. There are continuous trains for Amritsar from Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Agra, Chandigarh and Kolkata, among others.

By Road

3. Volunteer

The golden temple Amritsar employs about 300 Sewadars though 90% of the working staff is made up of volunteers. sewadar helps the gurudwara management by giving prasad to a devotee at Golden Temple. 

4. Feel the lake atmosphere

The golden temple is also famous for its ‘sarovar’. The gurdwara is built around a man-made pool that was completed by the fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, in 1577. Its lake atmosphere is simply amazing which attracts tourist apart from pilgrimage.
