About Wagah Border

The Wagah Border is a military based station on the boundary of India and Pakistan. It connects the two city Amritsar and Lahore (Pakistan). It is around 28 km from Amritsar and is one of the primary passageways overland to the adjoining nation of Pakistan. The daily highlight in the evening is the "Beating the Retreat" function where the warriors from the two nations walk in a drill, going through the means of cutting down their particular national flags.
