Sakkarbaug Zoological Park, Junagadh, Gujarat

Sakkarbaug Zoological Park is one of India’s oldest and largest zoos, spread across 84 hectares in Junagadh. It was established in 1863. It’s famous for its Asiatic lion conservation and houses over 1300 animals including leopards, tigers, deer, reptiles, and exotic birds.

The zoo is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. except on Wednesdays. Visitors can see wildlife animals, educational exhibits, botanical gardens, and enjoy photography and picnics.

Ticket prices are Rs. 30 to Rs. 50 for Indian adults and Rs. 100 to Rs. 150 for foreigners. Nearby attractions include Uparkot Fort, Mahabat Maqbara, Girnar Hills, and Gir National Park.
