About Gangaur Ghat

Gangaur Ghat is the prominent shore of Lake Pichola situated in Udaipur city of Rajasthan. Udaipur is also known as the City of Lakes or Venice of East. Gangaur ghat connects the Pichola lake to the most prominent part of the city i.e. city palace, Bagore ki haveli. It is known for the magnificent celebration of Gangaur Festival and other Hindu festivals. Locals also use ghat for Bathing and washing clothes. Gangaur Ghat is one of the most scenic and beautiful destinations of Udaipur. It is even more amazing when evening falls and all streets and houses are lit. On the opposite end of the lake, there is another ghat known as Ambrai Ghat.

By Air

Maharana Pratap Airport is the nearest airport close to the city (Udaipur).It is only 24 km away. And from here you can hire numerous local vehicle to reach to Gangaur Ghat.

By Train

Udaipur has its own railway station and network which is well connected with other parts of the country. The railway station is only 4.7 km.

By Road

Udaipur is well connected with other major cities of India via a good road network. You can hire many forms of transport to reach Gangaur Ghat.

Gangaur Ghat is a popular ghat in Udaipur which is famous for bathing especially during the celebration of the Gangaur festival and the jal-jhulin ekadshai. On these occasion, the ghat looks spectacular.

At the sunrise and the sunset, the aarti looks outstanding. And this is the time when people from far-flung areas come here to see its mesmerizing beauty.
