Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar is one of the most peaceful and beautiful places to visit in Gujarat. The temple is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and is a fine example of Indian culture, devotion, and traditional art.

The whole temple is made with light pink sandstone and looks stunning with detailed carvings. Inside, the main idol of Swaminarayan is placed with great respect. Visitors also get to see attractive stone work, artwork, and beautifully designed halls that show stories of Indian history and values.

Temple Timings:

  1. The temple is open from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. It stays closed on Mondays.

Entry Fee:

  1. Entry to the main temple is free.
  2. Tickets are required only for exhibitions, abhishek ritual, and the water show.

Aarti Timings:

  1. Daily evening aarti is performed around 6:00 PM at the main temple. Visitors are welcome to attend and experience the spiritual atmosphere.

Abhishek Ritual:

  1. Timings: Available during temple hours.
  2. Fee: ₹ 50 per person.
  3. Duration: About 15 minutes.

Devotees can perform the abhishek ritual by offering holy water on the idol of Shri Neelkanth Varni.
