I visited Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Nashik with my family during the early morning hours, and the experience was truly divine. We booked an online pass, which made our entry smooth and hassle-free. The temple is surrounded by the scenic Brahmagiri Hills, and the peaceful environment adds to the spiritual feel. The unique Jyotirlinga here is always covered with water, and witnessing the rituals like Rudrabhishek was very special. Though the temple gets crowded on Mondays and during festivals, the arrangements are well managed. Overall, it was a memorable and spiritual visit that I would highly recommend to both devotees and travelers.

About Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Nashik, Maharashtra

Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling Temple is located in the holy town of Trimbak, near Nashik in Maharashtra. It is one of the most famous Jyotirlingas out of the twelve Jyotirlinga in India. The temple is surrounded by green Brahmagiri hills and is near the Godavari River. This old temple of Lord Shiva is not only a place for prayer, but also a special place full of spiritual power, faith, and old Vedic traditions.

Trimbakeshwar Temple is a very holy place for people who believe in Lord Shiva. The temple was built in the 18th century by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao, a Maratha king. It is made of black stone and follows the old Nagara style of building. the religious meaning makes this temple very special.

This Jyotirling Temple is special because Hindu people believe Lord Shiva appeared here as a Jyotirlinga. It is the only Jyotirlinga Temple where Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva are all present together. You will not find this in any other temple.

The linga here is also different. It is always covered with water from the Godavari River. People believe this river starts from the nearby Brahmagiri Hills. Because the linga is always in water and many rituals are done every day, the linga is slowly getting smaller. This shows the life cycle – birth, life, and death.

Temple Timings:

The temple is open every day. But on Mondays and during Maha Shivratri, the temple gets very crowded because these days are special for Lord Shiva.
