The Thol Bird Sanctuary is an ecologically rich bird sanctuary on Lake Thol in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. This lake was originally built as a freshwater basin in 1912, as rare species of birds can be found in the forests around Lake Thol. The area was designated a Lake Thol Bird Sanctuary in 1988.
