This temple has 14 colorful gopurams (gateway towers) decorated with thousands of statues. The temple area covers over 14 acres. The most famous hall is the Aayiram Kaal Mandapam with beautifully made stone pillars. Many pillars are about 12–15 feet tall. The temple has a Holy lake called Porthamarai Kulam (Golden Lotus Pond).
