Located in Himachal Pradesh, this stadium is not just about cricket—it's about seeing nature and sports come together in a way that few other places in the world can offer.

The stadium’s construction began in 2002 and it was inaugurated in 2003. The land, about 16 acres, was leased by the government to HPCA.The ground is maintained by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).

HPCA Stadium serves as the home ground for the Himachal Pradesh domestic team, and Punjab Kings during IPL seasons. It has also hosted several domestic Ranji Trophy matches and many international fixtures. The first major international match, a warm-up between India A and Pakistan, was played here in 2005; the first ODI was India vs. England in 2013; and the first Test saw India face Australia in 2017.

The HPCA Stadium has a seating capacity of around 23,000 people. The design reflects traditional Tibetan-style architecture, and the facilities include modern pavilions, VIP boxes, media centers, and player amenities.
