    How to reach
     

    Most of the trek organizers offers pickup and drop from Kathgodam as it is almost 12 hours of journey from Kathgodam to Lohajung (base camp). Here you will need to report at Kathgodam which is well connected by bus and train routes from Delhi, Lucknow and Dehradun. Journey from Delhi through train costs around Rs. 180 and Rs 450 for second & third AC sleeper classes respectively.
     

    Reach Kathgodam by Train:

    From Delhi:

    • Delhi to Kathgodam Shatabdi Express (12040) - Depart from NSDL at 6AM and reach Kathgodam by 11AM.
       
    • Ranikhet Express (5014) departs Delhi at 10:40 PM and arrives Kathgodam at 5:30 A.M.
    • Uttar sampark kranti (5035) departs Delhi at 4:00 PM and arrives Kathgodam at 10:40 P.M.

    From Dehardun:

    • Doon Express (4120) departs Dehradun at 10:30 PM and arrives Kathgodam at 7:10 A.M.

    Reach Kathgodam By Bus:

    Government buses start from ISBT Delhi Anand Vihar station. Haldwani happens to be a twin town of Kothagodham and is a stop in the Delhi-Nainital route. The bus journey is ~ 8 Hrs and the Kathgodham Railway station is 4 kms from Haldwani bus stand. It is recommended to stick to Government buses run by State Tourism as the private operators are not very safe and trust worthy.
